Centre for Research in Early Childhood Education (CRECE)
Making a meaningful difference to children, educators, families and the community by generating evidence about high quality early childhood pedagogies and practices.
Early Childhood Education makes a significant contribution to the learning and wellbeing of children, families and communities. A strong early childhood education system enables workforce participation and reaps future financial returns due to its ability to establish in young children a strong, resilient foundation for life-long learning.
The Centre for Research in Early Childhood Education (CRECE) brings together a critical mass of early childhood education researchers from Macquarie University who will work together with the early childhood community to co-design and conduct innovative, impactful research. We focus on two key themes:
- Impactful, individualised early childhood pedagogies will generate new knowledge about how to enhance the learning of all children aged birth to five.
- Knowledgeable, supported early childhood educators and families will investigate workforce factors that increase educator capabilities, resilience and support family partnerships.
